At 21 years old, Derek Demun’s life changed in an instant due to a workplace injury. Sixteen years later, he is a public speaker, wheelchair user, and photographer. Derek is passionate about sharing his story, and his goal is always the same: challenge assumptions and spark conversations about disability, inclusion, and resilience. From his adventurous life pre-injury to the challenges he faced post-injury, Derek connects with audiences by being honest, thoughtful, and unafraid to talk about the tough stuff—because that’s where growth begins.
